Your looks stay on your device

Liyo is designed as an on-device hairstyle journal. Looks, salon visits, diary notes, photos, voice notes, products, and preferences are stored locally on your device. Liyo does not require an account and does not operate a Liyo cloud service that stores your personal hair album.

Overview

Liyo (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a personal hairstyle journal for iOS. You can save before & after Looks, log salon visits and styling diary entries, track products, export yearbook-style PDFs, and optionally share posts in Salon Circle from a Look you already saved.

Information stored on your device

When you use Liyo, the app may store the following locally on your iPhone or iPad:

• Hairstyle Looks — titles, tags, length, change type, notes, before/after photos, and follow-up shots
• Salon visits — salon name, stylist, services, cost notes, dates, and linked Look IDs
• Styling diary entries — text, mood, length, optional photo, and dates
• Product records and usage links to Looks
• Optional voice notes attached to Looks
• Salon Circle posts you create, saves, blocks, and hide preferences
• Circle profile display name, avatar choice, and visibility settings
• App preferences such as watermark, JPEG quality, reminders, and anniversary settings
• Your in-app coin balance and records of settled coin purchases

This information remains on your device unless you delete it in the app, remove the app, or export/share content yourself (for example, exporting a PDF, saving a photo to Photos, or posting to Salon Circle).

Information we do not collect

• We do not require you to create a Liyo account.
• We do not receive your Looks, salon visits, diary notes, photos, or voice notes on our servers.
• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use third-party advertising networks inside the app.

Device permissions

Liyo may request the following permissions. You can deny any optional permission and still use most features.

• Camera — to capture before/after and follow-up hairstyle photos.
• Photo Library — to import salon photos and to save exports when you request them.
• Microphone — to record optional voice notes on Looks.
• Notifications — to deliver local reminders you enable in the app. Notifications are scheduled on your device; we do not send remote push from a Liyo server.

You can change permissions anytime in iOS Settings → Liyo.

Salon Circle

Salon Circle lets you share a post that starts from a saved Look. Posts, profile display choices, saves, blocks, and hide lists are stored with your local app data. Sample community content may ship with the app for illustration and is not based on a real user account.

Profile privacy controls (visibility and whether saves are shown) apply when someone opens your profile from Circle inside the app.

In-app purchases

Liyo offers consumable in-app purchases of coins through Apple’s App Store. Payment is processed by Apple, not by Liyo directly. We do not receive your payment card details.

Coins are spent inside the app for optional actions such as expanding Look slots, exporting PDFs, or other premium features shown in the Shop. Because coin packs are consumable, they are used after purchase and are not kept as restorable entitlements.

Purchase history and billing support are handled by Apple. For billing questions, use your Apple ID purchase history or contact Apple Support.

Exports and sharing

When you export a Look split PDF, yearbook, or image, Liyo creates the file on your device. If you save it to Photos or share it through another app, that destination’s privacy practices apply.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

The current version does not include third-party advertising SDKs or a Liyo analytics service, and Liyo does not sell your personal information. If these practices materially change, this policy will be updated and any permission required by iOS will be requested before use.

Data retention and deletion

Your content stays on your device until you delete it. You can remove individual Looks, visits, diary entries, and posts inside the app, or use Clear data in the Me tab to reset personal local data (community sample posts may remain).

Uninstalling Liyo removes locally stored app data from your device, subject to iOS system behavior and any device backups you maintain.

Children’s privacy

Liyo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a Liyo server. If you believe a child has used the app in error, contact us and we will help you understand how to remove local data from the device.

International users

Liyo is available to users worldwide. Because your hairstyle content is stored locally on your device, it generally does not leave your device unless you export or share it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Updated” date above. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
